Entry Requirements
It is important to check the government website of the country you're travelling to to check if you require a VISA or if there are any other entry requirements. This will be your responsibility to arrange and pay for prior to your travel to your host country.
Culture
It's advisable to read about the country your going to be living in to get a better understanding of how life is there. You could read articles, watch documentaries and visit the information on your government travel website.
It can also be nice to take a gift to your Host Family to present when you arrive. This could be something typical to your country to share your culture with them.
